Surprisingly though, because this region has so much to offer...

It has the most sacred volcano on the island, one of the two villages where the original Balinese descendent live, spectacular rice field views, great diving sights and so much more.

Let me list them more specifically so you'll realize too how rich this part of this island is.

Gunung Agung Gunung Agung is an impressive volcano and dominates the landscape in East Bali. On a cloudless day you will see it's summit everywhere you go.

This mountain is deeply respected by the Balinese and is considered as the most holy mountain on the island. However it has caused a lot of suffering as well for the Balinese people as it killed thousands during an eruption in 1963.

Besides being the most holy mountain on the island, today it is also popular among climbers. It is a tough hike so you should be a bit trained and fit. But once you have endured the climb you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view on the summit, especially at sunrise. The best time to climb is from July till September.

Temples; Pura Besakih and Pura Kehen Pura Besakih is considered the mother temple for all the Balinese people. It is the most important and with the big Gunung Agung on the background the setting is pretty mystical. Compared to other temples, the areas of Pura Besakih are very limited though.

But if you hear about a ceremony taking place there then you should definitely visit this temple. It is a unforgettable sight to see all the beautifully dressed Balinese placing offerings.

Another important and more accessible temple complex in East Bali is Pura Kehen, Bangli. It resembles Pura Besakih however it is much smaller. I do recommend visiting it though because of it's many nice statues and carvings. It's location amid a palm tree plantation makes it nice to walk around.

Tenganan Tenganan is a village where the original descendants of Bali prior to the Majahapit's arrival still live. It is located near Candidasa within a valley surrounded by mountains.

The villagers, the Bali Aga people are a secluded community with many strict social rules who live in a basic looking village set within a wall. When you walk around they do not seem to be the richest people on the island, but here appearance is deceiving.

The Bali Aga are prosperous due to the fertile land surrounding their village. Until today they divide the yields evenly among each other.

Many tourists visit Tenganan daily to admire their famous double waving 'ikat' cloths. It is worth visiting when you are in the area and it is nice to chat with the people there about their history and daily life.

Water palaces; Tirta Gangga and Taman Ujung In East Bali there are two popular water palaces. My favorite is the Tirta Gangga as the trip to this palace is beautiful plus you can actually dive into one of the pools and enjoy the fresh water coming from the spring.

The water palace was built by the raja of Amplapura in 1947, just as the other water palace Taman Ujung located nearby.

The garden and the pools of Tirta Gangga are beautifully maintained and there are many statues throughout the area. The big pools are decorated with fountains and flowers and as I mentioned before you can enjoy a refreshing swim in one of the royal pools. Don't forget your swim wear and towel if you plan to visit this palace...!

Diving spots Many resorts in East Bali offer great diving packages as this is one of the best regions in Bali to do some diving. Popular starting points are Padangbai, Candidasa, Amed and Tulamben.

It is possible to hire boats at dive operators who will take you to the best dive sights. Traditional fishermen are a perfect option if you plan to do some snorkeling only.

If you are lucky expect to see white tip sharks, manta rays, barracudas, turtles and the rare Oceanic Sunfish.

Beaches If you know where to find them, you will be treated with real white sandy beaches in East Bali. The majority of the beaches in East Bali are of black volcanic sand. And in Candidasa the beach has even disappeared to wrong planning.

However we managed to find two beaches that are really like the pictures you often see of a tropical white beach. The first one is right next to Padangbai and is called Bias Tugal. The other is a bit more difficult to find and is located between Candidasa and Jasri. It's called Pasir Putih, meaning White Sand. Well...that says enough.

Both beaches are very quiet and secluded. Don't expect any bars or restaurants at the beach. Just locals selling canned soft drinks. But if you love these quiet beaches then you should definitely check them out.

Day trips Last but definitely not the least....day trips. East Bali has truly a spectacular landscape of mountains, valleys, rice fields and ocean. Our favorite route is passing Sideman and Rendang.

The area is ideal for hiking as well ofcourse.

Sideman is located in a mountainous area which is covered with fresh green vegetation and rice terraces. In Rendang the road twists and turns around the terrific rice fields giving you great views of this complicated man-made creation.

Another great route, passing villages where time seems to have stood still, is from Candidasa to Ubud via Manggis, Selat and Besakih

East Bali offers a wonderful opportunity to discover a Bali that is, compared to South Bali still pretty much untouched. It is perfect if you are looking for a less crowded place to enjoy your holiday at the beach or in the nature while experiencing the rich Balinese culture.

by Matt Verbaan

Soak up the sun: five summer beach holidays

There are some beautiful beaches in the UK and they are great to visit during the seemingly random sunnier periods of our year. However, lets be honest, the British summertime is a bit of an up and down affair at best and can often end up becoming a washout. With belts being tightened and every penny counted, do you really want to risk your hard-earned cash on a beach holiday in the rain?

With last minute offers and huge summer sales, there are now many beach holidays to luxury destinations across the world that will cost you less than you think.

When it comes to beach holiday destinations, Egypt may not be the first one that springs to mind however, if you want the smallest possible chance of rain on your holiday, then Egypt is probably your best bet. In the summer months Egypt will have consistently average temperatures in the 30s and around 12 hours of sunshine a day. Rainfall is pretty much nonexistent during June to September, so you are almost guaranteed a sunny holiday. The coastal resort of Sharm El Sheikh is becoming increasingly popular with British tourists and offers some of the best beaches and five star hotels that Egypt has to offer. A flight to Egypt is around five hours, so it is very popular with those wanting a bit of sun, but aren't willing to go long-haul.

A little further afield than Egypt, the island of Hawaii has very consistent weather throughout the year with average summertime temperatures of around 30oC. However, there are many different micro-environments and you can find tropical rainforests and sunny beaches right next to each other. Water temperatures can reach a very pleasant 27ºC and there are many beautiful, picture perfect beaches for holidaymakers to enjoy. Obviously the exchange rate to the US Dollar will have a great influence on the price of your Hawaiian holiday, so it is worth keeping an eye on the exchange rate to get a good deal.

While Hawaii has always been a popular island to visit, one that has grown in popular recentlyOne of the top beach destinations in the world is the Indonesian island of Bali. The best time to visit Bali is between May and October when rainfall is at its lowest. The temperature is fairly consistent throughout the year and is usually around 28oC. The beaches of Bali are what people come to experience and there is nothing like taking a dip in warm turquoise waters or watching a Bali sunset from a hammock with a cocktail in hand. Be prepared for a long flight, but your pound should go a long way against the Indonesian Rupiah.

Back in Europe, Italy might not have been the first place to mind when thinking about a beach break, but there are plenty of beautiful spots to lay down your towel. Some of the country's highlights include the beautiful beaches of Sardinia, Tuscany and the Italian islands. The Italian climate is Mediterranean, especially on the west coast, so it is hot and dry during the summer months and perfect beach weather. Also, the flight time to Italy is only around two and half hours so you don't have to travel too far to find some summer sun.

For those looking to leave the familiarity of Europe and venture into the dark continent, Kenya is a popular holiday choice. Known for its amazing wildlife and safaris, few travellers are aware of its amazing coast and beaches. The city of Mombassa is a very popular beach destination and travellers will often book a Kenya safari and a week on the beach to help them relax. Kenya's coast boasts over 300 miles of white sand beaches and summer high temperatures of around 30oC. There are also a huge number of activities to keep you busy, including some great dive sites and a range of watersports for thrill seekers.

So when you are looking at beach holidays this year, keep these destinations in mind and you are almost guaranteed some summer sun. by Isla Campbell

Honeymoon Holidays For Summer Brides

Holding your wedding ceremony in the summer months of June, July and August may mean that you're more likely to receive sunny weather on your big day but it can limit you when choosing your luxury honeymoon holiday as the school holidays mean costlier airfares, crowded beaches and the dreaded hurricane season in the Caribbean. We've picked our top three honeymoon holiday destinations along with the best month of the year to visit them in.

June Brides

The tropical island of Mauritius is the perfect honeymoon holiday destination for June brides. The British Summer Season sees the exotic island at its absolute best with the temperature around a moderate 25 degrees Celsius. During this month the north of the island is the most temperate and the five star resort of The Oberoi is one of the perfect luxury destinations for honeymoons. The hotel is located amongst 20 acres of sub-tropical gardens and has a 600 metre ocean-front. Newly-weds can eat delectable Creole food amongst the stars in the resort's amazing restaurant, whilst listening to the strange evening song of the frogs.

After all the stresses and strains of organising your wedding you're going to need plenty of time away to pamper yourself and this is where the hotel's luxurious spa comes in handy with it's extensive range of holistic treatments from aromatherapy to aruyvedic massages. If you can bring yourselves to leave this incredible resort then the destination of Mauritius offers plenty for newly-weds to do on their honeymoon holidays, whether it's a walking trip hand in hand on the bottom of the Indian Ocean or an excursion to a local rum distillery.

July Brides

July Brides should consider taking their luxury honeymoons in the cosmopolitan city of Hong Kong. It may not be the typical honeymoon holiday destination with its lack of palm-fringed beaches, and a bustling city atmosphere, but during July the city is arguably its most beautiful and it can be twinned with other Far East beach resorts for a fantastic multi-centre honeymoon.

Hong Kong has more than its fair share of luxury hotels which are just perfect for relaxing honeymoon holidays. Of all these hotels, The Excelsior is one of the most romantic, situated on the waterfront of Hong Kong harbour and in the heart of the shopping district. The Excelsior is located close to all the major tourist attractions and Hong Kong's highlights include visiting the Giant Buddha at Lantau Island and a tram ride on the world's steepest tram railway at Victoria Peak.

The Excelsior offers Michelin awarded dining, a world class spa and eight private treatment rooms making it the perfect destination for newlyweds to unwind on their honeymoon holidays.

August Brides

August Brides may be marrying in the peak of the summer season, but the onset of the school holidays makes finding a dream honeymoon holiday destination much harder. However, August is the perfect time to visit the romantic island of Bali, a dream island which is perfect year round.

The Melia Bali Villas and Spa Resort are a great value luxury honeymoon destination and provide the perfect base to get away from everything and simply relax after all the stresses and strains of organising a wedding.

Beautiful lotus ponds stand beside carved stone gods and the hotel offers a whole range of different facilities from four stunning bars to a beautifully sophisticated restaurant offering a range of local cuisine.

Bali is the quintessential tropical island and its laid back atmosphere suits everyone from backpackers seeking the perfect place to unwind after their travels to the wealthy in search of luxurious spa resorts. As the island is rich in natural and cultural beauty it offers a myriad of outdoor activities for you to participate in on your honeymoon holiday from surfing lessons on windswept beaches to holistic treatments and early morning yoga sessions. by Claire Bryant

Private Villas Location in Bali

Bali offers you various choices of villas and holiday homes for your lovely holiday in Bali. What if you want to set off to a hushed romantic tropical resort and end up on a youthful party island? What if your island doesn't have as a lot of scuba diving as you want or the prices were more than you wanted to pay? How do you locate where the best information is? What do you look for in choosing the best tropical destination for you? Often many people don't know where to start. Research from guidebooks can help but that is time consuming. Here are some tips that can help you make the process of choosing your tropical holiday easier and quicker:

For starters, pick what type of island holiday you. Do you want an active island vacation, great diving, a luxurious island resort, a off the beaten path island or will just any island do for you? Pick one thing that is a deal breaker for you so if you get jammed between two destinations, you use that one thing as the deciding factor.

Next, decide where on the planet you want to visit. Do you want your tropical holiday to be close to home or far away? Remember, the further away you travel, the more expensive the holiday will be. Even if the island is inexpensive, traveling there might not be.

Next, decide how much your budget will be. Some might choose this as the number one thing you should do but you can't decide how much you need to set aside or spend if you haven't decided where you are going yet. A semi-expensive tropical island close to home will need less money than an inexpensive active island far away. You'll need more money if you are flying to Bali from New York than you would if you were flying to Bermuda, even though Bali is a cheaper island.

Get some island names. Now that you know where in the world you want to go for your vacation, what you want to do there, and how much you want to spend, get a list of islands in that area to research. Draw up a list of five, otherwise the list becomes too long because there's so many islands in the world. Get a healthy mix of popular island destinations and off the beaten path islands.

Research your tropical islands. What is the food like? What is the diving like? How much does it cost? Who goes there? Is it easy to get too? Does it have what you want? Head to the store for a guidebook or do some online research at websites like best tropical islands.

Make a final decision. Now that you have narrowed your list down, make a decision. This is the hardest part, huh? All of those islands look good. Can't we just go to them all? Sadly,no. We have to choose one. If you are having trouble picking one, use the deal breaker we discussed in step one to decide. All things being equal, this deal breaker should be the deciding factor. That way you stay focused and don't over think your decision. By staying focused, you can go with your gut and make the decision much less painful and avoid second guessing.

So now you have picked your tropical island, go start booking flights and hotels. If you follow these guidelines, you can help get to your perfect island getaway quicker by spending less time deciding where to go and more time at the location. Once there, you know that island will be exactly what you want and will never have to say "It was good but…" as no one wants to say that! The Balangan village include subdistrict of Jimbaran. Balangan was the village with the more unfertile land or almost completely dry land with the limestone here and there.

The Balangan village was name as one of a poor village in south of Bali becaused by the inhabitants could not work on the soil like the other villages around Bali island that has a fertile land and abundant of water. The crop that could grow fertile only peanuts and soybean.

The Balangan village began to be able to enjoy the electricity current from the government since 1993 and clean water from PDAM entered after 1998. Before that the inhabitants here relied only from the diesel engine for the need of electricity and accommodated the rain water to satisfy the requirement for water as a day life. Still could be seen in almost each of the inhabitants’s house in Balangan village, they had a big water reservoir to accommodate the rain water

The property development turning-point for the village of Balangan was since the entry of clean water and electricity to the village and trigger the property development especially when it was pioneered by the villas that was owned by the foreigner.

The first area which give more interest was the tundun penyu area which situated on the peak of a hill with view of the gulf of Jimbaran and Benoa bay. If you see to the north after the rain drops then you will see the mountain rank far up north. Really was very picturesque scenery. This area was as the birth of the development property in the village of Balangan. This is likely to be your beach haven and you know it inside out. Uluwatu beach is just that indescribable, perfect paradise for surfers. Besides the wonderful scenery accompanying the waves in this lovely place, there are also many small local cafes providing light snacks for those who want to fill their tummy before surfing. However, if you do not surf, it does not mean Uluwatu isn't the place for you. Look out for all the sweet little moments served out to you on a plate in every nook and cranny of this amazing place. The beach is right down the hill so you will have to go down several stairways to reach it. As I walking down, I saw a monkey swinging from one tree branch to another. I felt so at one with nature right at that point. Now, just before you finally reach the beach you will come to this cave with water drops on one side due to the high tide the night before. Beautiful! Let me describe to you what I love about Uluwatu Beach… its white sandy beach with that handful of people sunbathing while the rest are far off in the distance trying the waves. I also like the idea of Uluwatu being a rocky beach, with all those corals right at the side of the coast. Do you know I had my own private pool right down at the beach! Yes, there are no tides or waves here and you can actually have a proper swim. Just stand on one end of the rock, examine some of the small sea fishes looking for food in the delightfully clear ocean. Wow… beyond my wildest imagination! Just like many other places, here many resorts and first class spas offer to spoil you silly, completing your perfect holiday.

Uluwatu Beach Pecatu Village, Kuta Selatan, Badung District, Bali by Celestine

Holiday Travel - Luxury or Discount Holidays?

Luxury vacations may cost you a fair amount of money, so be sure to make detailed plans so that you get the most out of your trip. Here is how you can go about planning for your trip.

To begin, make sure you are clear about your purposes. Do you need the vacation for healing purposes? Or just traveling to relax your mind. Different people travel for different reasons. What you need and want may not be what your travel companions need and want. To avoid tension, be sure to discuss your plans openly with whoever you are traveling you. Come to a common understanding early.

Everything else becomes easier to plan for when you are clear about what you want. As an example, if you are taking a vacation to take your mind off work, don't bring any kind of work along with you. Try to travel with people who share the same goals as you. Make a list of the equipment that you will need. Then plan your time wisely. It is sometimes good to have variety.

Variety actually helps to keep your entertained throughout the entire trip. You want want to plan for a massage session after a full day of sight seeing. Your vacation will then be filled with fun and exciting activities.

In sum, make sure that your plan works in your favor. Don't set yourself up for more stress. Your plan will help keep distractions at bay, and you will have a more pleasant trip. If possible, leave all your work and worries behind. Having some peaceful moments to yourself is rare and precious. Your travel plan will help you achieve that.

Now is the time to choose a luxury vacation destination. Where would be most ideal? Each destination will have its own unique characteristics. For sure, there is enough variety to choose from.

On luxury holidays, you will be staying in villas instead of resorts. We are not talking about resorts here. With villas, you get to enjoy private facilities. They are very private, and offers a lot of peace and quiet. For this simple reason, the rental will be much higher. For the price that you will be paying, you will get the whole villa to yourself.

Luxury vacations in first world countries cost the most. The main reason why such villas are the most expensive is because real estate is costly in these countries. Thus, be prepared to pay 2 to 3 times more.

For a much lower price, you can enjoy staying in villas in Asian countries. You can expect prices to be very reasonable.

In addition, sights are more interesting and uncommon. As an example, you may see beautiful Thai robes that are simply captivating. Luxury villas in destinations such as Bali are renowned for their exotic feel. Even the surroundings may be a breath of fresh air. For ultimate luxury, try staying in a super large 5 room villa!

You don't have to spend a bomb to stay in a luxurious villa. Just make an online search to see what comes up. If Asian destinations don't suit you, try Australia or New Zealand. by Gen Wright

Family Vacation - Working Out the Dollars and Cents

A good way to start planning for your family vacation is to work out the dollars and cents. Always budget generously as you may end up spending more than what you initially expect. When you go on a luxurious vacation, be prepared to shell out premium price. But you can still save if you plan well for your trip.

First, be clear about why you are traveling. Are you going there for business? Or you are traveling for leisure? Remember, different strokes for different people. Spare a thought for your travel companions, and think about what they want. Tension can be avoided if you talk it over with your pals. Work on your traveling goals together.

The details become clearer once you get your goals down on paper. For instance, if you are traveling to Bali to golf, then focus more your golf plans. Find travel companions with similar goals. Are there any additional tools you need to bring along? Then figure out how much time you need for each activity. If you are going to golf, do you intend to do any business while you are golfing?

Of course, the best travel plans always have a wide variety of activities. For instance, after scuba diving, you can always plan for a relaxing evening reading at the cafe. When you have your days filled with fun and relaxing activities, your trip will be an enjoyable and memorable one.

Finally, going on luxury vacations usually mean that it's time to pamper yourself. So don't let other distracting thoughts from spoiling your vacation. Try leaving all work and worries at home. Peace and quiet is great for healing the spirit. Make sure you work on your plan to achieve that!

If you have the budget for luxury vacations, there are many interesting destinations that you can visit. Every place offers different characteristics. There are lots of options to choose from.

Staying in a villa is part and parcel of a luxury holiday. You won't be staying in the traditional holiday resort. Villas are much larger, and definitely better equipped with facilities. Besides being well facilitated, villas are also very exclusive. Because of exclusivity, be prepared to pay a higher price for the accommodation. However, compared to just single or twin room resorts, villas offer much more room and space.

Top luxury destinations include those in highly developed countries like the US and the UK. Due to costlier real estate, the prices cannot be low. Therefore, it is common to have to pay a premium price for villas in these nations.

If you find it too costly to have luxury holidays in US or UK, try staying in an Asian villa. In these countries, land is a lot cheaper, and you get to enjoy breath taking scenery and beautiful beaches without having to pay premium prices.

In addition, you will also see sights that you don't normally see in western destinations. For example, you can visit temples and learn more about the eastern culture. A quick visit to Bali, and you will immediately experience what we have just mentioned. Even the architecture of the villas look and feel different. Spending less does not mean you have to compromise on the quality of your trip. You can still enjoy a high quality vacation while you save. When you go on a luxurious vacation, be prepared to shell out premium price. Here is how you can go about planning for your trip.

First, be clear about why you are traveling. Are you going there for business? Or do you want to go sight seeing? Remember, different strokes for different people. Spare a thought for your travel companions, and think about what they want. Always communicate with your travel companions to avoid misunderstandings. Reconcile your travel goals as much as you can.

It's easier to work out the rest of the details when you have clear goals. For instance, if you are traveling to Bali to golf, then focus more your golf plans. Find travel companions with similar goals. What equipment will you need? Then figure out how much time you need for each activity. You can mix your activities if you like to make the trip more interesting.

Of course, the best travel plans always have a wide variety of activities. For instance, after scuba diving, you can always plan for a relaxing evening reading at the cafe. When you have your days filled with fun and relaxing activities, your trip will be an enjoyable and memorable one.

In sum, make sure that your plan works in your favor. Don't set yourself up for more stress. Distractions are abundant, so you must be careful not to let them spoil your vacation. Just focus on enjoying the trip. Having some peaceful moments to yourself is rare and precious. Your travel plan will help you achieve that.

Once you have made up your mind to go on a luxury vacation, you will now have to pick a destination. Destinations differ in terms of facilities, scenery, and price. But there will be a place that will appeal to your own personal preferences.

When we talk about luxury vacations, we are referring to villas. We are not talking about resorts here. Villas are private dwellings with their very own facilities. They are highly exclusive and very peaceful. Of course, given such exclusivity, they cost a lot more. But in return, you get more space.

The most expensive destinations are those from developed countries. This is because real estate prices are high in such countries. Therefore, you can expect the prices of such villas to be two or three times more than villas in other destinations.

If price is a concern, then perhaps villas in the eastern part of the world such as Indonesia or the Philippines. You can expect prices to be very reasonable.

On top of that, you will also see sights that are more exotic and unusual. For instance, the people in Asian villas dress in traditional costumes that you may have never seen before. Luxury villas in destinations such as Bali are renowned for their exotic feel. Even the surroundings may be a breath of fresh air. For ultimate luxury, try staying in a super large 5 room villa!

So who says you have to spend a fortune to enjoy luxury holidays? Just spend a little more time looking around. If Asian destinations don't suit you, try Australia or New Zealand. by Gen Wright

Bali Holiday Rentals - Affordable yet Luxurious

Imagine yourself lying lazily on the veranda patio an oceanview villa sipping a cool margarita. Here, I would share with you the legendary way masters of the art write with almost no research and still managing to get the results!

It all boils down to the B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T principle. This method had given birth to numerous masters of writing and you will do well to learn this!

For the B principle, it stands for Broad. Your essay should never ever contain details. It is to be as broad as possible. Since we do not want to spend hours on research, we do not want the reader or the grader to know of this. Thus, always frame your arguments and points as broad as possible. This will induce your reader to think that it is due to his/her own ignorance that they cannot understand what you are talking about. The highest level of this is to create a thinking on your readers that you perfectly understand your topic and your research is done to the utmost level and it is them who are the problem. Make them feel as bad about themselves as possible, since this will boost your credibility to the max. This Broad principle is sometimes also known as the Bluff principle but I digress.

For the U principle, it stands for Under. You must always understate, underpromise and underdeliver at every point of the essay. This is where students fails. Once you let slip that you actually know something about the topic, the reader will tend to expect more of such knowledge as they read on, but will not be able to find more since you did not do any type of research in the first place. This hurts your credibility. By adjusting the tone of your essay, you will create no such illusion for them. Since they don't expect any thing overwhelming, then you can maintain this attitude to your advantage when you get the the last part of this strategy.

For the two L principle, it stands for Lengthen and Litter. The Lengthen principle means that you should lengthen any type of desciption to the most number of words as possible. For example, "Fish and Chips" can be lengthen to "aquatic animal which is carefully prepared, exquistely cooked to the sublime level of tastiness coupled with air-flown potatoes from Australia, delightfully sliced into small strips for easy eating and digestion and also includes the premier tomato sauce made from the best of all tomatoes that ever existed on Earth". As for the Litter principle, you must always litter your essay with as much jargons and technical terms so as to support your arguments and make yourself sound smart. Also consider littering subtle hints that you deserve very high marks or very high reviews all over your essay.

For the S principle, it stands for Spam. You must always remember to spam your points all over the essay, under the guise of re-iteration. This give your reader the sense that you have a very strong point to make and that you have research a lot to be able to support your arguments to such a degree. As we know, Pluto is no longer classified as a planet, which means that facts are changed every so often. The last thing you want is that you will be caught with you pants down, when the facts have changed since the time you write your essay, which results to you being penalised. Therefore, you should spam your vague points all over, both making up the words and reducing the need to actually go find facts, which may change and leaves you at a place you don't want to be in.

For the H principle, it stands for nothing. Since I go by the name Mr H, this point is simply here to ensure that no copyright and plagurism exists. Even if they do, I don't care, as long as I will receive an obscene amount of money from the offender. You will be wise to follow my footsteps, after all why reject free money? Writing a thesis or an article requires effort so we want to be compensated for that. Therefore, the moral of the story is to make your essay to be able to earn you money legally, even if you manage to screw up your grades. (Which you wouldn't be as long as you follow the B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T principle to the core)

For the I principle, it stands for Illiterate. When writing, you should always pretend that your readers are illiterate people. Pretending that things is ok is a very positive mindset, since it eases your heart, enable you to relax and enjoy life. Of course, there is the conflicting idea that since you pretend that they are illiterate, then why write at all? This is a philosophical question that is better left to others to discuss since I will just pretend that this idea does not exist.

For the T princple, it stands for Treat. Of all the principles, this is of the utmost importance! If you learn nothing from me, you must definitely remember this point! This principle means that you must always treat your grader, assessor, readers well. Unfortunately, this may require some research. An obscene amount of money or cheque stapled to your manuscript usually work very well but there are cases where it may fail. Your assessor will not want to be caught for accepting the money so you may have to think up new strategies. You can instead staple several two way tickets to a Bali holiday with all expenses paid for. You can also staple an envelope with a credit card with no name and specified amounts inside. What is appropiate here depends on the person you are trying to butter up with. Sorry, I mean the person you want to make better connections with. If your research on the person reveals that he is a lecher, you may want to attach a free air ticket to Amsterdam with special discounts to the red light districts. This last principle is one that you will actually have to use your brain unlike the rest of the principles. However, you have my word that if you do it well, you will enjoy the rewards!

Last but not least, you must always end with a one-liner that may or may not make sense in regards to the essay. This proves to the reader that you are sophisticated enough to end the essay with just one line!

You shall visit http://enxieferite.net84.net more often, in fact daily. by Tales Zephyrus Lucrex

Bali Holiday: Hotels in Seminyak

Island of Bali, one of the main holiday destinations of Indonesia and probably one of the most visited vacation spots in entire Asia, has an incontestable magic, felt by most tourists who spent there longer or shorter getaways. Indonesia is considered by many western people as an exotic travel destination, where everything is different as at their home. Indeed, there all things have a specific charm, from culture to architecture, from weather and climate to vegetation, from food to traditions, from spoken languages to philosophical concepts...

Bali is lying between island of Java to the west and Lombok to the east, the capital city is Denpasar and it has and area of only 5,632 squad km (2,175 sq mi), but a population of over 3 millions of people. The entire island is a holiday resort, with many great accommodation units settled on beautiful beaches or in the high of the mountains, almost all surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and with unforgettable sea views! Everywhere on the island can be found well developed tourist centers dotted with luxurious hotels. A few destinations where are located the best hotels in Bali are Seminyak, Candi Dasa, Ubud, Jimbaran, Tuban, Nusa Dua, Kuta (with one of the most famous beaches in Bali named the Legian Beach), Sanur, Lovina Beach, Pemuteran, Lembogan Island and Tanjung Benoa. Most resorts in Bali are built with a specific Balinese architectural style, feature very luxurious amenities and offer high level services, being categorized as 4 and 5 star hotels. Majority of them don't comprise big size buildings, but have several villas or bungalows spread out around a wider area and offering a better chance to holiday makers to relax and enjoy a quite vacation. Of course, most hotels in Bali have one or more pools, spa centers, and a wide range of vacation facilities such as golf courses, scuba diving equipments, and others.

Seminyak is a famous tourist destination, located on the western side of Bali, just north of Kuta and Legian, being practically a suburb of town of Kuta. It is considered one of the most luxurious areas in Bali, so prices are pretty high, but even so there book accommodation a lot of tourists and also may expatriates bought houses and villas. Most hotels in Seminyak are 4 and 5 star resorts, featuring spa centers, more swimming pools, tennis courts, golf clubs, restaurants with local and international cuisine, shops with local products, all designed to offer vacationers a pleasant stay and splendid memories about Indonesia. Accommodation units as "Apartments Disini Luxury Spa Villas", "Hotel Villa Lumbung", "Hotel Kayana Seminyak", "Hotel Anantara Seminyak", "Hotel The Oberoi Bali", "Hotel The Villas Bali and Spa", "Hotel The Samaya Bali", "Apartments C151 Smart Villas", and "Hotel Bali Rich Luxury Villa" belong to the most luxurious resorts in Bali, but there are also a few 3 star hotels in Seinyak which offer excellent accommodation, one of them being "Hotel Pelangi Bali".

Bali attracts holiday makers looking to spend relaxing beach vacations, but also tourists interested in learning about new cultures and peoples. The last ones have chance to take visits to different temples (which are in fact main tourist attractions for all vacationers) and villages to see how live the locals, to meet them and to buy handicraft products. Island of Bali is a very mountainous one, especially in its central side, the tallest peaks being mount Agung (3142 meters) and mount Batukaru (2271 meters), so the more active tourists and hiking fans can enjoy there great moments too.

Spending a holiday in Bali is great on any region of it, but Seminyak is in the top of the most exquisite resorts of the island. Beside great accommodation offered by luxury hotels in Seminyak and splendid beaches from surroundings where tourists can enjoy at first hand the tropical nature, in the area can be found also a few entertaining zones with lively restaurants, bars, and shops.by Victor Tuszing

So what are the Top Ten Travel Destinations this year?

Naming top ten travel destinations could prove easy, but how relevant such a list is, that is debatable. This article includes only the most popular locations based on the statistics made thanks to international travel agencies, and according to travelers' reviews posted on a number of web pages.

To many tourists, Latin America is the perfect place to go on holiday: there is the beauty of cities like Rio de Janeiro and the mystical attraction of Peru and the ancient Maya and Inca cultural remnants. The cultural impact, the leisure activities combined with some great weather conditions, make this part of the world a focal attraction point for millions of tourists during the peak holiday season.

Europe deserves its good name for the great sights it offers to travelers: Paris, Rome, Venice, Spain's Arab treasures and the misty lands of Ireland and Scotland, and these are just a few of the things that make the old continent one in the top ten travel destinations. Palma de Mallorca and Ibiza require a special mention here, as they complete the list of exotic resorts in the European part of the world.

The Egyptian Pyramids and Morocco are absolutely magnificent, and travel agencies put up thousands of touristic packages for holidays on to the North of Africa. One of the features of African resorts consists in the constant touristic push and an unforgettable adventure in the multitude of cultures that contrast so thoroughly in the crowded North-African cities. No matter if you visit retreats in oases or famous resorts, this part of Africa will always remain in the top ten travel destinations.

Nepal, Bhutan and other countries on the Asian roof of the world fascinate and charm visitors alike. It is the Nepalese capital city, Kathmandu, with millennia of history that attracts most of the tourist crowds. As for the climbing of the Everest, very few courageous people dare to venture on the crests of Himalaya.

Finally, an impressive number of sunny islands can be included in a top ten travel destinations list: Bali, Jamaica, Crete, Hawaii and many others, which is why the list needs to be a lot more comprehensive, as so are the beauties man and God created. All in all the places closest to a person's heart remain the ones to attract him/her for further exploration, and therefore, anyone can create a list of top ten travel destinations. by Brett Muscio

Villa Bali Hotel - diving, rafting, fishing, snorkeling - service exellent

Bali is the one for your family holiday, honeymoon or just enjoy your vacation with Bali sun sea and sand. It is popular for romantic breaks, honeymoons and weddings as well as being a key surfing destination.

Where can I stay?

Bali is a haven of warm climates, blue seas and wide sandy beaches. There are big hotels in Bali just as there are in any beach-led country, but the very best hotels are those that reduce the number of rooms and focus instead on giving guests the very best holiday experience. From a completely spoiled and luxurious boutique hotel to simple but perfectly designed accommodation, you can find a hotel that puts you at your ease and makes relaxation your only consideration. Take the Puri Ganesha Villas in the north of the island, bordered by green mountains on one side and the sea on the other, Puri Ganesha is a collection of just four two-storey villas, each with its access onto the private beach and its own seawater swimming pool. Or try the Nusa Dua, one of the newest boutique hotels on Bali, where 20 exclusive pavilions provide accommodation for their lucky occupants, with butler service and private pools.

What can I see?

One of the obvious attractions of Bali is the warm coastline and fabulous beaches. If you're not a total beach bum though, there are many other areas that are worth a visit, including Ganung Batur, a volcanic cone with a lake in the surrounding caldera. The landscape is worth the climb, but the climate at this height is very different from that of the beaches, so be prepared for much cooler, damp conditions. Romantics could try the Bali Orchid Garden - the climate in Bali particularly suits these gorgeous flowers - or visit one of the ancient shrines and temples that dot the landscape.

How do I get around?

If you ever decide to leave your villa to go anywhere other than the beach - and you should, because otherwise you'll miss nearly all that Bali has to offer - then use the cheap bus system, or for slightly more money, but also more comfort, use the regular tourist buses. You can also rent a motorcycle or bike for a slightly more adventurous trip around the island. by Chic Retreats

Bali Villa Rental Guide to Your Bali Holiday Environment

It is the first day of your Bali holiday and your first night at a Bali rental villa.

Welcome to the paradise called the Bali Island.

However, unless you have been living in the tropics for a while, welcome to what I call the 'mini-environmental culture shock'. Well, at least if you have chosen a good villa in a non-urban setting, you are in for some new, exciting and really interesting sights, sounds and experiences.

This free travel guide is intended to help you most of your Bali holiday, and the new sights, sounds and smells that await you.

Rice Terraces

Balinese rice terraces are an art form in themselves, which has taken centuries to perfect.

Quite likely, around your rental villa, you will be surrounded by rice terraces which are still being tended by the local community, using the traditional techniques.

The wonderful climate of Bali allows for up to three sets of harvests to take place every year.

Depending on what time of the year you are in Bali, you are going to experience one of the following:

Preparation of the Terraces This is when the fields look like layers of serene lakes, shimmering in the sun.

Planting of the Saplings An exciting time, when local farmers will be working busily, planting young saplings, with an amazing speed and technique. If you have a video camera with you, this is the time to get close and personal with the locals community. Most will respond to your request to photo/film their activities with a pride and a smile.

Growing & Protecting During this period, you will note the farmers continuously in the fields from sun-rise to sun-set. They will either be mending and managing the terraces, or trying to protect their crop from the birds. Protection of the fields from the birds tends to attract the whole community, especially the young and the elderly. You will see interesting home-invented contraptions being put up to scare the birds away, and hear old ladies trying to personally scare the birds away making some very interesting (and obviously time tested) sounds Harvesting Given the nature of the rice plant, this is typically a very rapid process. One which is followed by the very labour intensive and slow process of separating the rice from the chaff, manually, by hand, using again centuries old methods. Cleaning Up Once the rice harvest has completed, you will note the local community collecting the stalks, and burning them in preparation for the next plantation. During this final period you may see smoke towering from t
he fields. Please note that there is no need to be alarmed, as these are controlled fires which take place in the middle of the rice terraces, surrounded by water. If you have never had the chance to do so, we would highly recommend that you take a stroll through the rice terraces. You will find the local farmers very friendly and welcoming, and if you wanted to take some photos, some will even go out of their way to pose for you!

However, please note that it takes a lot of effort and sweat to keep the rice terraces in working condition. Please keep to the 'foot-paths' between the terraces, and avoid walking into the actual water-ways themselves. Also, we would recommend wearing soft shoes (sandals/flip-flops) to minimise damage (to the rice fields). Or like locals do, you may want to go barefoot!

The Local Community

The local community in Bali is organised around a very strong network of Banjars (local councils/cantons).

However, unlike the western concept of councils, each local community is locally managed and run, and is almost a state onto itself, with its own local values, rules and guidelines. So much so, that it can actually be up to the local Banjar to decide if a new building can be built or not, or what purpose should the new developments have.

Typically your Bali villa will have close relationship with the local Banjar, and the local community. Many of your villa staff will probably be from the local village.

The Local Religion in Bali

Like most of the rest of Bali, at Mia Villa we live in a Hindu community.

Balinese Hinduism is a fascinating subject in itself, enshrined in local culture and tradition. We would urge all our guests to track down a temple ceremony and experience this festive religion first hand themselves. (Typically, your Villa Manager will be more than happy to advise you on where the next/nearest public ceremony is likely to be.)

In like with the local traditions, many villas have their own full size temples or at least a mini-temple attached to a wall (quite likely near the kitchen area).

It is perfectly alright to take pictures of the temple, and the villa staff praying, making offerings at the temple. However, as a show of respect to the local traditions a level of respect does indeed go a long way. Using the temple as a towel rack (you would be surprised what some people will do!), allowing children to climb the temple or play with the offerings, and being in the nude around the temple are best avoided.

You will note that, every single day your villa staff will visit the villa temple, making offerings and prayers. These prayers are made to protect the villa, its guests, and its staff from harm and negative forces, and to keep the evil spirits away from your Bali villa.

Balinese Hinduism is a very open minded and accommodating religion. If you wanted to find out more about it please do not hesitate to ask your villa staff, who will often share the subject with you very willingly.

Sights of Nature

Most Bali villas enjoy extensive tropical gardens, and you will be surrounded by a wonderful range of tropical trees and flowers.

Whilst, some like the Heleconia and the Lotus Flowers are easy to spot and appreciate, there are many other smaller varieties of plants that you will come across which provide subtler insights into a tropical garden.

If you want to take certain varieties back home, and try growing them, please do not hesitate to speak to your Villa Gardener or your Villa Manager who will be happy to introduce you to some of the better nurseries on the island. (Of course, please first check that your destination country does allow for import of tropical plants.)

Sounds of Nature

The Gecko

Permanent and non-paying residents of most Bali villas is the Gecko (lizard-like creatures).

Totally harmless to humans and pets, the gecko are welcome guests as they feed on ants and small insects, providing a natural and environmentally friendly pest control.

Gecko also provide the signature sound-bite of the tropics. You will hear the very distinctive call of the Gecko on a regular basis. (It is said that if you count a Gecko call up to seven times in one go it will bring you good luck.)

Possibly the only down-side of Geckos is that they tend to eat a lot, and as a result pooh a lot too! So if you come across small droppings on the floor, you know who the guilty party is.

Some gecko can grow to quite large sizes (30 cm / 1 ft)+, and become quite a bit louder. They are still totally harmless to humans. However, if you find that you are bothered by the louder gecko, you will need to raise this with your Villa Manager. The Kodok

Another permanent resident of Bali is the Kodok, or frogs as we know them in the English speaking world.

The Kodok are such a big part of the life in Bali (as a result of the rice terraces), that you will see their statues throughout the island, often depicted as mischievous and fun loving characters.

Needless to say, the Kodok are totally harmless, and more often than not, heard rather than seen. (Unless it has been raining, when they will be brave enough to come out for a shower.)

Local Ceremonies

Some evenings you may hear gentle rhythmic drums, and chanting at a distance. (Especially during full moon or dark moon.) These are the sounds of the ceremonies being held at the local villages around you. Sometimes there is nothing more relaxing than, turning off the TV/music, grabbing your favourite drink, and enjoying these ceremonies from a distance. I believe this is one of the most pleasurable benefits of staying at Bali villas. Traffic, Motorbike, Night-Club Noises

If you have chosen the location of your Bali rental villa correctly, you should hear very little (if any) of noise.

However, if you are having withdrawal symptoms; Kuta, Legian, and Seminyak do indeed provide that bright-lights / big city experience to rival most holiday resorts in the world.

Hopefully, armed with these insights, you can now ease into your new rental villa in Bali, and enjoy your holiday in this island paradise.

Many happy returns... by Joanna M Lawson

Bali Luxury Villas, better than a hotel?

Bali Luxury Villas are more accessible then you might thing...

If you are planning a trip to Bali and are browsing through the internet in search for a good hotel, you should check out the possibilities of staying at a villa as well. You might be surprised about the wonderful options.

Bali has become popular for its beautifully designed private villas. There are even picture books published on this subject alone and for a good reason actually, because many of these villas are just stunning.

The concept 'villa' does however scare the majority of people away because it just sounds really expensive compared to a hotel or resort. But some beautiful Bali private villas are actually affordable, especially if you are planning to go on a holiday with your family or when you consider staying in a 5 star resort anyway...

Many resorts offer wonderful accommodations with many facilities on their resort premises. However some lack the touch of exclusiveness which the Bali luxury villas can offer. Here are just a few services that you can expect when staying in a private villa:

• Your own private area with private entrance • Your private pool • Your private kitchen and in most cases a chef is there to prepare breakfast right at your own villa • Your own private butler • Specific preferences

Privacy is definitely the major aspect of a villa. And come to think of it, why share if you can have it all to yourself?

I have visited many villas in Bali and have discovered that there are many impressive Bali luxury villas that offer a more exclusive place to stay than a resort but where you pay almost the same price or even less.

Here are just three villas that I have found really affordable and range between the US$150 tot US$ 200 per night:

Villa Baja is located in the Bukit area in the southern part of Bali. This private villa is beautifully styled with Javanese antique and has an incredible view on Jimbaran bay. There is room for a total of 8 people for only US$200 a night.

But if you are planning a romantic holiday for two you'll have the whole villa to yourself for the same price.

The second option I have found is in the center of Ubud, the cultural village of Bali. The Tegal Sari Villas are just a natural beauty with their own private dark tiled swimming pool and modern designed interior.

But the best of all, you are pretty much surrounded by rice fields.

This private villa in Ubud can be used by 4 people at once for just US$250. But if you are traveling with two, you can choose between the villa with pool for US$150 or one without the pool for US$100.

The third option is Villa Gils in Candidasa. This beautiful open building has 3 bedrooms so a maximum of 6 people can stay here. The kitchen and living area is set in a semi-open pavilion with view on the massive private swimming pool. You will expect that staying in this terrific place will cost you a fortune, but it is only US$195 per night.

Imagine how much you will save when staying there with 6 people.

So from just these small examples, you should start to ask yourself: 'Why stay in a resort while I can also stay in one of the many beautiful Bali luxury villas?' When visiting Bali you wouldn't want anything else then just that... by Matt Verbaan

Bali food: great tips on local food

Bali Food is not just suckling pig and rice alone…

When you are going on a holiday in Bali you don't have to worry about eating rice three times a day like the Balinese local people do. With the influence of expatriates in Bali you can buy about anything now, even typical products from your own country.

Restaurants, owned by foreigners, offer a large selection of top cuisine that will have you mouth water by the time you finish checking out the menu. Dishes from every corner of the world are presented, some mixed with an Indonesian or Balinese touch in order to create a sensational new twist.

Fortunately the authentic traditional Balinese and Indonesian food is still very much present on the menu in every restaurant, whether it's owned by foreigners or by the Balinese themselves. But I must admit; the best places for Bali food are the places where you'll find the Balinese crowd eating as well.

So in this case: do as the locals do.

For the real die hard cultural experience you can stroll over to any corner of the street where you will find someone selling all kinds of dishes on the spot. In the wooden crate tied on to the back of his bike, or in the little restaurant on wheels the seller manages to create a real feast with various types of dishes and rice.

You can either eat it on the spot or have it wrapped up in banana leave for you to take home.

You will mostly find these food sellers early in the morning, when the Balinese grab a bite just before work starts or around lunch time along any main road and even on Kuta and Legian beach.

But if this is somewhat too much for you (which I totally understand, you don't want to get the famous "Bali Belly" on your holiday) there are other options as well. There are food Warungs (little Indonesian shops) that sell local delights at a local price. And to stay on the safe side, there are even Warungs where the menu is in English, so these are the places where it can get really crowded with tourists.

In these types of restaurants you can either choose from the menu or walk over to the counter where dozens of dishes are displayed ranging from fish-, chicken-, and pork dishes, tofu and tempe prepared in all kinds of styles and vegetables that are often cooked in a creamy coconut sauce that is just great with white rice or nasi goreng (fried rice).

You can try everything you want because at the end you will pay for each dish separately. So you can decide yourself how much you want…or can resist. Great places to try this "warung-way" of eating are in Warung Makan in Poppies II Kuta and in Warung Ocha at Jalan Raya Seminyak.

These local Bali restaurants are influenced by the other Indonesian islands as well. So besides Bali food you can also discover dishes from the other islands as well.

A real Balinese dish is the Satay Lilit, which is mainly made out of snapper fillet, prawns, coconut and various kinds of herbs. Many restaurants offer this dish so when you see it on the menu it is definitely worth the try.

Another typical Balinese dish you'll often find on the menu is Bebek Betutu which is roasted duck in banana leaves. Many restaurants offer this on their menu however it takes a couple of hours to prepare so it is better to order it a day in advance.

But if you happen to be in Ubud head over to 'Dirty Duck' which serves this dish every day as it is their specialty.

But what I think is the most famous Balinese dish is Babi Guling, which is roasted suckling pig prepared together with a long list of spices. If you talk with any Balinese about food they are likely to ask if you have tasted Babi Guling already.

If this is not the case yet they will immediately recommend you to go to Ibu Oka in Ubud. She is definitely the most famous person who makes this dish. So go for it…

I could just go on and on about the Indonesian and Balinese food. Just as its culture their cuisine is just as rich. So while spending time in Bali you should definitely grab the opportunity to try their delicious food. Fitness is becoming a way of life, and as you know, the best promotional products fit the recipient's lifestyle. This is the year to promote well-being while promoting your company! Here are four of the must-have logo gift items for every company this holiday season.

Giving fitness-focused logo items doesn't mean you have to buy elliptical machines for all of your employees. Just start with the basics - one of the hottest logo gift items is still the traditional tote bag. Traditional, however, doesn't mean ordinary. Today's promotional tote bags are as stylish and high-quality as anything you'd find in a top department store. For example, the tropical-themed Bali Tote has a designer look with its rope detailing and seashell pattern.

If your recipient is more rugged outdoors than haute couture, check out something like the Eco 51% Post Consumer Recycled Sling Bag. Sling-style bags are perfect for bike riding, rollerblading and hiking. Opting for a bag made from recycled materials means you hit two hot trends in one - fitness and eco-consciousness.

Thirty minutes on the treadmill will leave you with quite a thirst. Do the environmentally-friendly thing with reusable sports bottles in lieu of throwaway plastic water bottles. A brightly colored logo sports bottle is the perfect add-on to any fitness-themed gift. Just like the sling bag, a sports bottle lets you simultaneously promote an active and earth-friendly lifestyle.

Logo sports bottles come in many varieties, so shop around until you find one that stands out from the bunch. For instance, a 20 oz. Polycarbonate Sports Bottle with Flip-Up Straw is convenient for those on the go with its transport loop. It also features measurements on both sides for those who want to mix up a protein shake.

We've taken care of the body, now what about the mind? There's nothing like some fast-pumping music to get you in workout mode. Portable MP3 players are still one of the top gifts on everyone's wishlist. You can be the one to make that wish come true, and you can do it with class and style by giving them the Onyx MP3 Player 1GB. The Onyx comes complete with earbuds and an armband to fit your fitness theme perfectly.

This year's hottest logo gift items are centered on healthy living and a happy earth. These four promotional products will support your clients and your employees in taking care of themselves and taking care of the planet. by Sharee Vivio

Romantic Getaways - How To Pick The Most Unforgettable Honeymoon Spots

Ah, with the stress of the wedding over, it is now time to enjoy a well-deserved romantic honeymoon getaway. But irrespectively of the chosen deals, vacations on island Bali, considered by many the most valuable tourist "jewel" of Indonesia, are amazing beautiful, extremely relaxing and will offer ever lasting memories...by Victor Tuszing

Seminyak, get to know the fanciest town on Bali

Seminyak is the place to be if you are planning a holiday of fun, style and great cuisine. It is actually similar to the nearby village Kuta, but here the visitors are willing to spend a little bit more to receive more quality.

On top of that it is a very popular town for foreigners living in Bali, so their influences can be found back in the large number of well-known restaurants and shops that offer Western standard goods.

Like its surrounding neighbors, this stylish village used to be a regular quiet Balinese village too. However once the large numbers of visitors had exceeded the capacity level of Kuta; shops, restaurants and hotels started to move northwards along the coast.

From Kuta to Legian, tourism eventually passed Seminyak and is now heading more northwards towards Canggu, where today dozens of villas are popping up everywhere each month...

Seminyak is able to stand out from other villages because of its trendy restaurants which is accompanied with an abundance of Bali luxury villas. Despite the large numbers today restaurants and villas are still being built everywhere; each one being more fancier and modern than the other.

This is the place where your mouth will occasionally drop wide open because of the amazing style, luxury and beauty...

Here restaurants are beautifully set along the beach, such as La Luciola and Ku De Ta. Others (the Livingroom and the Sarong for example) have an amazing interior that together with the food attracts the crowd. These restaurants are so popular that they are all fully booked every evening.

So make sure you reserve a table if you plan to dine in style...

After dinner, the night-scene continues till early in the morning. The super trendy Hu'U and Ku Deta organize parties regularly where expats and travelers can enjoy the warm tropical night while dancing away...

During the day the shop-alcoholics among us can go up and about as this is the place in Bali for fashionable clothing and accessories. Compared to other villages, you can find more western styled things here of better quality. Additionally the number of souvenir shops does not dominate and as a result there is a trendier and stylish atmosphere...

Of course there is more to do then just eating, shopping, partying and spending your days in a grand villa. Well actually not much more...

Another thing that you can do is visit the spa and like all the other things mentioned above, the spas here are also more luxurious then the surrounding villages. Service, interior and the extra details makes the experience more exquisite and of course more expensive. But then again, we are on a holiday aren't we?

For many people on a holiday their favourite place is the beach. Well, Seminyak has a nice clean beach where you can doze off the whole day on the rental or hotel-guests only beach-chairs. Be careful with swimming though because there are a lot of unexpected currents that can pull you down.

So keep an eye on the colour of the flags that are placed at the beach…

If you want to do other things besides dinning, shopping and sunbathing then you have to go on day trips to the surrounding areas because basically this little village is just a fancy hub of fun, relaxation, luxury and pleasures...So a place just to be and enjoy your well deserved holiday.

If that is all you need then now you know where to go... by Matt Verbaan

Things to do at Sanur beach

Sanur beach is definitely an option if you are planning a holiday in which your main activity is relaxing on the beach. It is one of the biggest and nicest beaches on Bali and the walk way along the beach is perfect for jogging, cycling and strolling in the early mornings or just towards the end of the afternoon.

This beach has been attracting travelers since the 1960's. To profit from the increase of tourist numbers the former president Sukarno used his resources to build a huge 9 story building with a bowling alley, golf course and massive swimming pool right at the beach.

You can still see it today and can only wonder why they haven't gotten rid of it yet...

Sukarno also came up with another idea which seems to be more successful than his massive hotel. At that time Sanur beach looked a bit different: it had black volcanic sand instead of the white sand it has today.

So what happened...??

Well, it had nothing to do with the miracles of Mother Nature. Instead the former president brought in tons of golden coral sand to cover the original black beach. The white sand is now kept in place through breakwaters that are built in sea.

Imagine that...

Not surprisingly after that more beach hotels were built along the beach and today you can see many wonderful resorts that offer charming and luxurious Balinese styled accommodation such as the Puri Santrian resort, the Mercure resort and the Bali Hyatt.

If you are staying at one of these beach hotels you are guaranteed that you will have a nice piece of quiet beach where you can enjoy the sun on one of the many beach chairs that are for hotel guests only.

Unlike the sea at the western part of the island, the sea at Sanur is as quiet as a lake. The waves do not reach the beach as the reef is located far off shore. This makes it a terrific place to swimsnorkel or paddle around in a kayak.

There is however a lot of seaweed in these calm waters. But fortunately the hotels have come up with a good solution: they cut the seaweed on regular basis so you can actually feel the soft sand between your toes.

Besides visitors, these calm waters have attracted local fisher men as well. Along the whole stretch of the beach you can see the typical wooden fishing boats called Jukung.

Once they have hauled in the fish early in the morning, the majority of the fishermen spend the rest of their day looking for tourists who would like to go on a tour with them.

The colorful boat is a great way to see the beautiful beach from another angle and it is possible to go around the lagoon, to Benoa Harbour or to Turtle Island.

When you stroll along the walk-way you'll soon enough see a lot of shops, massage tables and restaurants right at the beach. The shops are mostly souvenirs shops that sell all kinds of things. The shopkeepers will make sure that you know that they are there and which shop is theirs.

But if you are really not planning to do any shopping, try not to look in the direction of their shops because that is usually their cue to approach you. This tip can also be applied for the massages on the beach.

Everyday dozens of women are ready to give you a traditional Balinese massage on the beach. Right under a patch of trees there are a couple of massage tables on which you can lie comfortably while they ease every muscle in your body with their professional hands.

If you are in for a massage, go for it. It's always nice to hear the sea breeze while relaxing at the same time. But if a massage on the beach isn't your thing (lack of privacy), remember to look the other way and continue walking...

A great thing about Sanur beach is that there is a lot of great restaurants right on the beach. Eating in the open air with your toes in the sand just makes the picture of the tropical holiday complete...

You can either eat in a stylish restaurant at one of the hotels which has great views of the beach and sea or you can head towards the restaurants located along the walk-way.

Here you can find restaurants such as Bonsai Café where you can eat great food for a very reasonable price, the Mango Restaurant & Bar with a great lounge-seating area under the palm trees, and one of my favorites the little Spirit cafe that serves great sandwiches with first class view of the beach and sea.

As you can see Sanur beach has more to offer than just nice sand and a calm see. It is a great place if you are looking for total relaxation during your holiday while staying at one of the many beach hotels and enjoying lunch and dinner in the terrific restaurants located right at the beach... by Matt Verbaan

Bali Villas, the best way to get a private accomodation in Bali

Why bali villas is the best alternative way when

you need a private accomodation for your holiday in Bali?
